A monologue in English written by the screenwriter and writer Andrea Careri.
The project is called MEM39, and is a COVID-19 product.
MEM-39 is a web series of short monologues represented by various actors around the world.
I got chosen to be Sara, a student who just moved to Sydney in 2039, but caught the MEM-39, a virus that erases all your memories instead of killing you. It attacks the part of your brain where the memory is stored, and there is no way to stop it.
Sara here, tries to send a message to the man she loves who doesn’t speak to her anymore before she forgets everything.
Maybe the hardest thing is not “to forget”, but “to be forgotten.”
